    In 1769, Spanish priest Juan Crespi named the lands around the LA River in honor of St. Francis of Assisi's chapel, thus endowing Nuestra Señora de los Angeles, later shortened to Los Angeles. An elegant 4x6 Postcard, with Space for Writing on the Back.
